Five myths about nutrition

Nutrition is no doubt, one of the topics where you can quickly get confused. the biggest influence is the food industry that tricks us into buying more products, or believing that healthy food is bad for us or tricking the food labels to confuse us and earn more money.

All about Magnesium

Magnesium is considered the “anti-stress mineral” It is also a natural tranquilliser. More than 300 chemical reactions inside your body depend on it, from regulating muscle and nerve function to making protein, bone, and DNA. Your body can store magnesium, and our skeleton is the largest reservoir we have, but your body doesn’t make magnesium on its own. Ideally, we will get enough from our diet, but since most of our food grow in magnesium-deficient soil resulting in weak plant growth, Magnesium deficiency is common.

Protein banana bread!

Banana bread is one of my favorites! You can have it for breakfast, after a meal or when you want to have something sweet. I make it with protein because this will help you feel satisfied for longer than eating only carbohydrates will, and because protein is an essential macronutrient that should be part of each of your meals!

All about Zinc

Zinc is a fantastic mineral involved in almost every process if not all, the process in your body, from hormonal production and immune system to DNA synthesis and cell division. Because your body doesn’t have a way to make or store zinc, you need to get enough in your diet each day.

5 Tips for a better sleep

Sleep is for grandmas; you will sleep when you are dead, sounds familiar? I use to laugh from people who think that sleep is so important because when you are young, you can still get very little rest and keep going. But sleep is like a credit card, and if you miss a payment or pay late, your interest rates can change and skyrocket. Lucky me, I understood the importance of proper rest fast enough to take sleep as a serious business. I strongly recommend you to do that the same!

Five tips to improve digestion!

Your digestive system breaks nutrients into parts small enough for your body to absorb and use for energy, growth, and cell repair. Our body systems function efficiently thanks to the food we eat, the water we drink and the air we breathe. Digestion is important because your body needs nutrients from food and drink to work correctly and stay healthy!

What are anti-nutrients?

Antinutrients are natural, or synthetic compounds found in foods that interfere with our ability to absorb or to use essential nutrients.
